holiday weekend gone by

So it was another thanksgiving gone by where a four day weekend didn’t really feel like there was any weekend in there at all. Don’t get me wrong, I had a great time on the day and going up to see other family over the weekend, it’s just tiring and draining – and I don’t think it’s supposed to be.

But it’s all good. I did get to take a few images while up at my grandparent’s place. This is the first one I’ve posted. I’m really digging HDR (high dynamic range) photography. My wife thinks that they look more like paintings than photos. I just think they look cool. And if you have any desire to get into doing it yourself, don’t use the photoshop automation for HDR… Get the standalone Photomatix.

But I hope everyone had a great weekend and holiday fun.

Just a quick post that I honestly meant to get out before now to wish any of you a happy whatever holiday you celebrate. My holiday was a mixed bag, but it was better than being at work. And I only work 3 more days before taking 10 days off in which time may be a road trip (we’re talking New Orleans right now). Anyway, seasons greetings to all and hope you have had a good one.

This past weekend was the coveted Charmwood Halloween party upstairs, and it was a great time. We returned to our roots and procured gambling equipment, and this time we killed the keg with relative ease (never happened at Charmwood before, but the fact that it was Stella made it so easy)…

Happy Belated Freedom from England Day

Had a nice holiday weekend of symphony, family, fireworks, World Cup semi-finals, and a mild illness thanks to a co-worker who shall remain nameless.

Returned to work to finish a memo on linking agreements and some more digging into my flickr experience. I need to add more images that I have at home. Needs work…

Now it’s back into the pit of Flash buttons, slideshows, and basic interactivity. I hope everyone had a bang-up weekend.
