Watching the Advertising
it’s just been a little odd to watch how Google indexes the information on my blog to translate into possible links for advertising.
When I began blogging about the collapse of the auto industry, it was a bunch of links to Chrysler, Ford or GM.
When I wrote about my impressions from reading the first two Twilight books, it then became all about the vampire.
I have no idea what this entry will do to it. I guess the massive database at google couldn’t find any worthy advertising for the word “Trickle” that appeared in two posts last week… For fun, I’m going to replace the bloodsucking mythological creature that keeps showing up on my Google advertising with the word trickle.
Let’s see… There’s: Trickle Names, Trickle Mythology, Trickle Kiss, Trickle LARP, Trickle Romance Novels, and Custom Fit Trickle Fangs.
Farking Spot
It’s funny ’cause it’s true…
thanks Jalopnik…
Junk in the Trunk
I was pretty happy to discover that there are three new Trunk Monkey ads in the last month or so… If you haven’t seen them (or need to see them again) GO HERE…
These new ones are good, but I still like the “theft retrieval system” the best.
Advertising Disapointment
So when looking at one of my routine blogs, I unintentinally rolled over an expanding ad for BlackBerry and thought I saw something familiar. It took a few more times activating the ad, but one of my worst fears were realized when it became apparent that Douglas Coupland had become a paid endorser of a mobile phone. He’s coming down a few notches in my list of all that is just and right…
Just another time I shake my head and say “f***ing BlackBerry” – not because I don’t have one, but because of so many other reasons which now includes corrupting one of my favorite contemporary authors…
meditation
Frustration has been quite prevalent lately… And it’s really thick today for some reason…
So in an attempt to make it all better, I’m meditating on the simple childhood pleasures from the image below. This place was the… It was cool. Chuckey cheese ruined it all…
This image reminds me of Reganomics, cheap gass, and thinking animatronic shows weren’t that lame…
