EyeTunes part 4

Click on the image to see it larger…  But it’s the Helmet song on the Johnny Mnemonic Soundtrack…

I think apple could stand to hire Ms. Drew to find the real album cover…

EyeTunes part 3

Of course someone like me has to have a compilation CD with Final Countdown by Europe. I guess the iTunes gods were into something… different…

What am I doing here? Read this for the reasons…

eyeTunes part 2

This is a ode to San Diego Ian. He likes Sarah McLachlan like tornado’s like trailer parks. It’s even funnier what compilation album it came from that also clashes pretty heavily with this cover.

eyeTunes part 1

So it’s time for part one in a new series. This time it requires a little back story.

In the past many months, I’ve taken it upon myself to re-encode all of my audio CD collection while placing the actual discs on spindles (and recycle the old jewel cases). This was also the time that two great CD collections merged. Both of us have music in common as well as stuff that’s just our own. It’s telling me that I have 11315 songs, 32.3 days, and 64.81 GB of music.

I’ve reached the 95% give or take, so I placed it on my new Mac and had iTunes grab the associated artwork to use the “Cover Flow View”. There’s so much music that I had to let it go overnight to grab the art files to associate with the many different albums. It all makes sense so far… Right?

So while my wife and I were at our respective computers (next to each other) I did the expected thing and put it all on random. Talk about a lottery of possible musical tastes… But what caught my eye was that there were many, many errors in the artwork iTunes grabbed. Some of which are very funny, and hence need to be shown to the world… Thanks to the wife for suggesting this as a new series (she rocks).

This is the album artwork iTunes grabbed for the Phenomenon Soundtrack… Some weird Travolta / Scientology conspiracy… Feel Xenu’s wrath while dancing the Hustle!
