It’s Thursday. I feel like it’s Monday, because I’ve had two straight days of work being canceled due to winter weather.  While our schools are still out for the third straight day, I’m going in to work.  What’s worth blogging about?  Just the inconsequential observation that Chicago inhabitants are weak, whiney people (not all of you, just a lot of you).

Sure, I can point to the Bears and Cubs as proof of this…  Instead, I’ll point to their current dealing with winter weather.  (here’s a link to an amazing photo from the Tribune)

How can I say this?  Because snow ain’t sh*t.  Snow can be plowed, pushed, moved.  I saw a Colorado town deal with more snow, over an existing base in an amazing way.  Plows, graders, dump trucks, and no salt.  And yes, I know Chicago is much larger and such…  But come on.  less than two feet, and you’re complaining?

There’s been so much about Chicago and their snow.

I challenge someone to come down to Indy and enjoy the rink.

Shoveling my driveway and walkways with snow are easy.  Picking away at over an inch of ice is completely different.  I can apply salt to no avail.  I can clear about a square foot of my driveway in 10 or so minutes after the salt has had some time to work.

Boo hoo for me, right?  No.  This is just weather.  It just is.  I can still drive on it just fine.  If you can’t deal with the weather, then don’t bother me and my news feeds.
