My geekdom is not boundless, but it does extend in a few directions. Yeah, I’m a Lost geek… A internet geek of sorts… There’s probably a small number of other areas that I’d consider myself a geek, but it’s not like I go to any of the conventions that you see people dressing up like storm troopers. But I can sometimes follow what they’re saying, and I love taking part in the making fun of the general geek sub-culture.
So I’m pretty bummed that the movie Fanboys is not being released here in Indy… It may come for a week to maybe one theater if I’m lucky, but that’s probably not going to happen. This movie has been mismanaged form the studios as it was filmed years ago, and stuck in some rut not being released in the theaters or straight to consumers. It’s nice to see they aren’t promoting it at all…
It’s got enough of a cast of cameos to be worth even a slightly wider launch and more marketing money. Oh well. I’ll probably have to wait for Netflix.
Side note – I love Big Bang Theory for the same reasons…
